Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) proudly announces a leadership transition within the School Board as well as the recognition of several board members for their dedication to professional growth.

After a decade of distinguished service as Board Chair, Butch Campbell is stepping down from his role while continuing to serve as a valued member of the School Board. For 10 years, Mr. Campbell has guided the district with respect, dignity, and clarity. His leadership has been instrumental in helping MCS navigate times of challenge, loss, and success. The district and community extend deep appreciation for his commitment and steady leadership.

At Tuesday night's meeting, Ms. Amanda Moore was elected as the new Chair of the Board. Ms. Moore brings a strong record of service to Murfreesboro City Schools and will continue to lead with the same steadfast commitment exemplified by Mr. Campbell. Mr. Campbell was elected to serve as Vice Chair.
